WHAT TO EXPECT

  • We provide all art materials: easels, brushes, paint, aprons, tablecloths, paper towels, water cups, pencils, and canvases/pots/ornaments.
  • Tables and chairs must be provided by the host.
  • Each guest takes home their finished artwork (all other art materials remain the property of Young at Art).
  • The host gets to keep the demo painting as a keepsake!
  • We require 30 minutes before and after the party for setup and cleanup (note: themed parties may require additional setup time).
  • A travel fee may apply for events outside Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, or Oshawa.

  • Add a Themed Experience - Our themed paint parties add the perfect creative twist to your event, with premium upgrades starting at $50 + HST added to the base party package. Each theme includes a custom painting design, curated soundtrack, and fun table accents — like stickers, tattoos, lighting, or seasonal décor — to match your chosen vibe (note: decorations are limited to the painting table only. We do not decorate the full party space. Reusable decor items such as lights remain property of Young At Art).

  • Blacklight Bash (UV Glow Party) +$100 + HST - Paint in the dark under glowing blacklights using vibrant UV-reactive paints that light up with every brushstroke. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that transforms your party into a glowing celebration! (Note: Paintings glow only under blacklight and will not glow at home without one. Due to the translucent nature of UV paints, designs work best when kept simple and bold, with solid colours and clean lines for high-impact glow).

  • ’Tis the Season (Seasonal Paint Party) +$50 + HST - Celebrate the magic of each season with a ’Tis the Season paint party! From festive Christmas cheer and spooky Halloween thrills to autumn’s warm colours and springtime blooms, this theme features custom seasonal designs and playful accents to match the vibe.


What We Leave vs. Take for Themed Parties:

  • Yours to Keep: Your artwork, Any glow sticks, stickers, tattoos, or printed activities included with your theme
  • We’ll Take Back: All reusable items such as blacklights, string lights, and other decorative or painting materials remain the property of Young at Art and will be collected after the event.

Young At Art’s Collaborative Canvas Experience is the perfect activity for office retreats, team celebrations, professional development workshops, or staff appreciation days. It’s all about creativity, communication, and teamwork—no art experience necessary!

HOW IT WORKS

  • Each participant paints one section of a larger collaborative image on a small square canvas (canvas size varies depending on group size). Unlike a traditional paint night, everyone contributes to a shared masterpiece using their own colours, brushstrokes, and style.
  • The session begins with a warm welcome and an overview of the process, followed by a brief demonstration of painting techniques. Participants then paint independently while the instructor circulates to offer support. In the final stage, canvases are assembled and refined as needed.
  • Timing (Total 1.5 hours): 
  • 10 minutes – Welcome & project overview
  • 10 minutes – Demo of painting styles & techniques
  • 45 minutes – Individual painting time
  • 10 minutes – Assembling all canvases into the full image
  • 10 minutes – Feedback & individual touch-ups
  • 5 minutes – Final reassembly and group reveal
